Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 27 - Sunday, May 30, 2010 for a Truman Scholars Reunion in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Truman Scholars Leadership Week (TSLW) in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The home base for this event will be William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
The reunion event will provide opportunities for Scholars to:
- Meet and hear from Jeffrey Toobin (NY '80), noted legal analyst (CNN, The New Yorker) and author of The Nine
- Reconnect with fellow Scholars from around the country, including incoming 2010 Scholars.
- Explore the legacy of President Truman through events such as a memorial service at President Truman's gravesite, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Truman Presidential Library, and a walking tour of historic sights, including the Truman home.
- Experience TSLW -- again or for the first time -- by serving as a panelist for the incoming Scholars' policy presentations and offering career advice or perspectives to the newest members of the Truman Scholar community.
