Scholars living and working overseas are invited to join those of us in the UK who will be marking the 20th anniversary of TSLW in solidarity with Stateside friends on Saturday, May 22, 2010.
We are in communication with the staff at the Churchill War Rooms, and in order to finalize some of the details there at the museum, we need a more precise head count than we have at the moment. Depending on how many we have in the group, they may be able to provide something special beyond the standard chance to explore the museum.
Please let us know by email whether or not you'll be able to join us by Sunday 16 May.
As a reminder, the full details of the planned day are as follows:
We will meet at 11am on 22 May 2010 at the Churchill War Rooms (Clive Steps, King Charles Street, SW1A 2AQ - closest Tube stop is Westminster). Tickets will be available for purchase upon arrival. For students, they are £12. If we have 10 or more, they will be £10.50 each. Tickets for non-students are £14.95.
After visiting the museum, anyone who wishes to proceed on to The Old Truman Brewery in East London, easy enough to travel there by public transport.
Feel free to bring significant others, friends, colleagues, or most anyone interested in engaging with the Truman community.
