How soon should I complete my registration and book my accommodations?

Registration and the group hotel rate have been extended through May 18, 2010.

Do I need to bring or rent a car for the Reunion Weekend?

No, participants will not need a car. The cost of registration includes ground transportation to and from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) on May 27 and May 30, respectively. It also includes ground transportation to and from the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum on Friday, May 28, and to and from the official hotel, Comfort Suites near Liberty, Mo., as described on the agenda. It is recommended that participants who anticipate additional transportation needs rent or bring a car, as taxis are not abundant in the Greater Liberty Area.

May I attend only part of the Reunion?

Yes, you may choose to attend only part of the Reunion Weekend. Please select which activities you plan to attend on the registration form. Because this program has been subsidized by the Truman Scholars Association and the Truman Scholarship Foundation, we request that all Scholars pay the registration fee even if they attend only part of the Reunion. Please contact Anthony Shop with any questions.

What does my cost of registration cover?

Your registration covers ground transportation to and from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and other ground transportation designated on the agenda, meals designated on the agenda (does not include Saturday evening dinner), activities (e.g. Truman Library), and other expenses related to planning and executing the Reunion Weekend.

Will ground transportation be provided to and from the official hotel?

Yes, ground transportation will be provided to and from the official hotel at the times designated on the agenda. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to provide transportation to and from the hotel beyond these times.

What type of overnight accommodations will be available on campus?

On-campus housing will be offered in Browning Residence Hall on the William Jewell College campus. The rooms in Browning include one or two single beds (depending on preference) with linens and towels provided, as well as a sink. Communal bathrooms and showers are provided on each hall. Men and women will be housed on separate floors. In the case of male-female couples, alternate accommodations may be possible. Please contact Anthony Shop with any questions.

What else should I know about on-campus accommodations?

You will be required to provide a deposit of $20 via cash or check to receive your room key.

What is the recommended attire for the Reunion Weekend programs?

Business casual or casual attire will be appropriate for all events.

Please send additional questions to Anthony Shop.
