It seems that summer has decided to make its grand entrance just in
time for our Truman BBQ! We will be getting together this Saturday to
enjoy the sun, meet scholars new to the area, socialize with those who
have been around for a while, and plan our summer service project.
WHERE: Golden Gardens Park in Seattle
WHEN: Saturday, July 10, 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
WHAT: A Truman BBQ. Dogs, kids, and significant others are welcome.
We will set up north of the parking lot - just look for the blue (this
was Uncle Harry's favorite color) balloons! David and I will bring
food and soft drinks, and will just ask that each person contribute to
the cost (probably about $10 per person). Because we want to buy the
right amount of food, please be sure to RSVP by emailing me and let me know if you are
bringing anyone.
Also, in an effort to connect with new scholars and new-to-the-Pacific-Northwest Scholars, I started a Seattle Trumans Facebook page. Please join it, or if you are interested in Truman events in the Pacific Northwest, please also make sure that you are on the regional listserve at http://groups.google.com/group/seattletrumans
