Hal Malchow
Hal Malchow is one of the pioneers of political direct marketing in fundraising, voter contact mail, microtargeting and Internet. His clients have included the Democratic National Committee, Planned Parenthood, NARAL, the AFL-CIO, Sierra Club, President Clinton, Vice-President Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton and many others.
Over the years, Hal Malchow’s political writing has won more creative awards from the American Association of Political Consultants than any other writer or firm in America. This year, his voter contact firm, MSHC Partners, became the first political firm to win Yahoo!’s coveted Purple Chair award for excellence in online communications.
In 2005, the Direct Marketing Association of Washington named him the Sisk Vision Award winner for pioneering vision that has shaped the American direct marketing industry. The last two winners were the National Geographic Society and the marketing director of NIKE.
Mr. Malchow holds a law degree from the University of the Pacific where he was named one of two outstanding graduates of his class. Prior to moving to the Washington area, he served as Campaign Manager for Al Gore’s first campaign for the United States Senate.
